At SpaceByte Cloud, we provide cloud storage services at highly affordable rates. Our pricing is intentionally kept very low compared to many alternatives, but storing, securing, maintaining, and serving your data still involves ongoing infrastructure, bandwidth, storage, and support costs.
We are not charging for nothing. We charge to securely retain and manage your data on our systems. If a service remains unpaid, we still continue to bear those costs during the grace period.
When an account expires, multiple renewal reminders and notifications are sent. Users are given a 15-day renewal grace period from the date of expiry to complete payment and keep their account active.
If you renew within this 15-day period, your account and stored data will continue to remain retained on our platform as per the active service.
However, if you do not renew even after repeated reminders during these 15 days, it will be considered that you no longer wish to continue the service and do not wish to retain your data under a paid storage plan.
Going forward, this policy will be enforced very strictly. Once the 15-day grace period ends, the system will automatically mark the account for deletion.
After that point, account deletion procedures may begin within approximately 6 hours. Once deletion starts, files, account records, and associated stored data may be permanently removed, and recovery may not be possible.
Please understand that we cannot continue holding and funding unpaid data indefinitely. We operate at a fraction of the pricing charged by many other providers, and continued non-payment makes long-term unpaid retention operationally unsustainable.
If your data is important, you must ensure timely renewal within the allowed period and must not ignore billing and expiry notifications sent by SpaceByte Cloud.
What this means for expired accounts
- Day 0: Subscription expires and renewal reminders begin.
- Day 1 to Day 15: You may renew and continue service under the grace period.
- After Day 15: The account becomes eligible for automatic deletion.
- After eligibility: Deletion processing may begin within about 6 hours.
- After deletion starts: Data recovery may not be possible.
